Dahmer (2022)

True crime series have almost become Netflix’s forte, and in this new mini-series we are introduced to the story of the Milwaukee Monster told from the perspective of the victims and police incompetency that allowed him to go on a multiyear killing spree. A dark thriller that dramatizes Jeffery Dahmer’s encounter with the court and how he managed to dodge the bullet far too many times. If you enjoyed similar series in the past, then this will most certainly do the trick.

Netflix

Handmaid's Tale - Season 5 (2017)

15 Primetime Emmy wins tell you more about Handmaid’s Tale than anything else. Blessed be! You have probably seen Elisabeth Moss as June Osborne before, and this week, she returns in the fifth season of the series. June faces the consequences for killing Commander Waterford while struggling to redefine her identity and purpose. The widowed Serena attempts to raise her profile in Toronto as Gilead's influence creeps into Canada. Chilling. And exciting. An obvious choice to watch this week.

HBO Max

Andor (2022)

Star Wars fans, this one's for you. Last week the third season of The Mandalorian was announced to premiere next year. Until then, we can quench our thirst for the galaxy far, far away with Andor - the prequel series to Rogue One. In an era filled with danger, deception, and intrigue, Diego Luna returns as Cassian who embarks on a path that is destined to turn him into a Rebel hero. The force is strong with this one!

Netflix

Lou (2022)

The Academy winner Allison Janney stars in Netflix’s new action-thriller, Lou. When a young girl is kidnapped, her mother teams up with the mysterious woman next door to pursue the kidnapper. Together, they begin a journey that will test their limits and expose secrets from their pasts. Released tomorrow the 23rd of September, this is the perfect movie to watch on a Friday night.

Netflix

Elvis (2022)

If you missed Austin Butler portraying Elvis Presely on the big white screen, you can now see the trending biopic on HBO.  The film explores the life and music of legendary Elvis seen through the eyes of his controversial manager Colonel Tom Parker, played by Tom Hanks. The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years. Shake your legs and prepare to fall in love with Elvis all over again.

HBO Max

Blonde (2022)

Ana De Armas has been in the spotlight the last couple of years after her success starring in Knives Out and her short role in the latest James Bond movie. Armas is the talk of the town with her upcoming movie Blonde - where she plays the reimagined life of Marilyn Monroe based on the bestselling novel by Joyce Carol Oates. Although based loosely on history, this is not a true biopic like Elvis. It's a fictionalized drama based on true events. Superb acting and beautiful filmmaking makes this a movie worth waiting for.
